Our standard cutlery range is made from Biograde C9550, a cellulose based polymer, which is predominantly composed of natural resource materials such as European Soft Wood from sustainable forests.  Its performance is similar to conventional thermoplastics but is completely biodegradable. All our cutlery range comes from readily renewable resources.

The cutlery products are biodegradable and compostable.  These products will usually biodegrade within 180 days in a commercial composting facility and may take 12 months or more in a home composting system.  Best results are achieved in a commercial composting facility. 

Our cutlery products are sturdy, made from readily renewable resources and are biodegradable as compared to the petroleum based plastic cutlery which are polluting and do not break down.

• certified compostable to DIN EN 13432 (European standard) and ASTM D6400 (US standard)

Gelato spoons
The gelato spoons are made from PLA and have the same properties as the PLA cold clear cups and cold clear containers.  PLA comes from renewable resources.

• suitable for cold drinks and food only
• biodegradable
• certified compostable to ASTM D6400 (US standard)
