The straws are made from PLA and have the same properties as the PLA cold clear cups and cold clear containers.  PLA comes from renewable resources. 

Properties:

• suitable for cold drinks only
• biodegradable
• certified compostable to ASTM D6400 (US standard)

Please store away from heat, hot surfaces and direct sunlight.
